Honoring Academic Excellence

Honoring Academic Excellence

Support for Your Academic Journey

SCPS faculty are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for adult learners. As leaders in their fields, they bring extensive professional experience and deep insights into market trends, ensuring students gain the knowledge and skills needed for success.

With a strong focus on the unique needs of adult learners, SCPS faculty provide an academic experience that helps students thrive both personally and professionally, equipping them to excel in their careers and make meaningful contributions to their communities.

The annual SCPS December Celebration exemplifies SCPS’ commitment to honoring student achievements, bringing faculty, staff, graduates, honors inductees, and their families together in recognition of their hard work. Michael Dubin, a 2024 graduate of the Litigation & Corporate Practice Certificate program and current SCPS ambassador, celebrated his accomplishments with his family and fellow graduates at the 2024 celebration. Now a Client Services Senior Project Analyst at Epiq, a leader in legal technology, Michael credits SCPS’s collaborative cohort model with helping him build lasting friendships and professional connections.

“Be willing to be uncomfortable. Put yourself out there. If you don't feel comfortable networking, just try. Try to find somebody that you know you can connect with, and just know that you're going to have the support behind you to get through the program and continue to build on your aspirations and goals.” Michael Dubin, Certificate in Litigation & Corporate Practice in Paralegal Studies, '24

The December Celebration offers SCPS staff and faculty the chance to honor our December graduates and recognize the academic achievements of inductees into Alpha Sigma Lambda (ASL) and Lambda Epsilon Chi (LEX). ASL celebrates adult learners who rank in the top 20% academically at SCPS, while LEX honors the top students from the Institute for Paralegal Studies. These inductions, together with the celebration of graduates, highlight the collaborative and dynamic learning environment fostered by SCPS faculty and staff, who actively support students in their academic and professional journeys.
